  • An American Homebrewers Association (AHA) judging sheet on how your beer scored
  • A FREE Weekend Pass which includes entry to both days of the competition event (May 17 & 18, 2014)
  • An exclusive COMPETITORS lanyard
  • A kick-ass time hanging out with other brewers from around the world! By registering for The Brewer’s $6K Homebrew Competition, you are automatically invited to the VIP Welcome Party on Friday evening, May 16, 2014 from 5-7pm, on Carroll Creek in Downtown Frederick, MD. The VIP Welcome Party will feature an exclusive beer share with other competitors, judges, and brewery reps. Each registered competitor has the opportunity to bring one guest to the VIP Welcome Party. (general public not admitted)
There are a few rules and qualifications that you need to meet before entering the contest. Once you register, you will be sent detailed instructions on submitting your homebrew including competition details. Here’s the important stuff:
  1. You must provide 4 bottles of the homebrew beer you are entering in the competition. 2 of the bottles will be shipped out for judging (shipping fees paid by competitor), and 2 of the bottles will be dropped-off, in person, on Friday, May 16th at the Brewer’s $6K Competition Check-In.
  2. You must attend the competition which takes place during the Beer Bacon Music festival. Yes you have to come. ANY prizes will be given out in person at the event. You must be present to collect prizes (ID required). If you are not present, you forfeit your prizes, and any other competition give-aways. Your score sheet from the AHA will be emailed to you following the event.
  3. When you enter your beer, you must provide a detailed recipe for your beer. By participating in this homebrew competition, your recipe will be available to any of the sponsoring breweries that are interested in your homebrew.
  4. One homebrew entry per person. Because this competition has a limited number of spots per style, we do not want the competition dominated by a few entrants submitting homebrews in every category. We ask that you simply pick your best brew, and submit only that. The cost of trying to enter two styles will be public tar and feathering at the competition. (We’re Frednecks, don’t try us.)
